Flare Network is a Layer-1 blockchain designed to bring reliable, decentralized data to smart contracts and enable interoperability with blockchains that do not natively support smart contracts, such as XRP Ledger and Bitcoin. Flare works through two core protocols: the Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO) and the State Connector. The State Connector securely verifies events and data from other blockchains, allowing Flare smart contracts to react to activity occurring outside the Flare network.

What Is Flare's XRP DeFi Ecosystem?
