Crypto exchange KuCoin announced on Friday the launch of USDt‑settled perpetual derivatives linked to Tesla and Strategy stocks via TSLAUSDT and MSTRUSDT contracts. These synthetic products track equity price movements without share ownership, can be traded 24/7 with a minimum position size of 1 USDt, and may face access limits in some jurisdictions.

On Thursday, Anchorage Digital announced an integration with Puffer Finance that lets institutional clients restake Ether held in Anchorage custody. Institutions can receive Puffer's liquid restaking token pufETH, keep assets within Anchorage's governance framework and earn both staking and restaking rewards without operating validators themselves.

Mastercard has introduced a global cryptocurrency partner program that initially links more than 85 digital asset, banking and payment companies to develop blockchain-based payment and settlement solutions. The initiative will focus on cross-border transfers, settlements and commercial payments, while Mastercard and SoFi Technologies have also agreed to use the SoFiUSD stablecoin for card transaction settlement in 2024.

BitGo will deliver custody and trading infrastructure for StableX Technologies as the Nasdaq-listed firm builds a digital asset treasury of up to $100 million concentrated on stablecoin ecosystem tokens. Following the partnership announcement, StableX shares initially jumped as much as 9% before closing 1.6% higher, while BitGo highlighted growing institutional interest beyond Bitcoin-only treasury strategies.

Societe Generale-FORGE has deployed its MiCA-compliant EUR CoinVertible (EURCV) euro stablecoin on the Stellar network as part of a multichain strategy. The token, first launched on Ethereum in April 2023 and later added to the XRP Ledger and Solana, is backed one-to-one by deposits and high-quality liquid assets and currently has a market cap of about $452 million.

Nasdaq said on Monday it will link its European trading venues to Boerse Stuttgart Group's Seturion platform, enabling blockchain-based settlement of tokenized securities and initially focusing on structured products. The partners aim to shorten settlement times, reduce post-trade fragmentation in European capital markets and operate within MiFID II and the DLT Pilot Regime, while gradually extending access to more issuers, brokers and financial institutions.

In February, Nasdaq-listed miner CleanSpark sold 553 BTC from its monthly output for about $36.6 million while producing 568 BTC and ending the month with 13,363 BTC in treasury. The company expanded its Texas footprint by closing on a second campus with 300 megawatts of ERCOT-approved power capacity and is preparing parts of its infrastructure for AI and high-performance computing. Other major miners, including Riot Platforms, Bitdeer and Core Scientific, also sold significant Bitcoin holdings to finance data center and infrastructure growth.

Western Union has entered into a partnership with Crossmint to support the launch of its USDPT stablecoin and Digital Asset Network on the Solana blockchain. The collaboration will integrate Crossmint's wallet and payment APIs with Western Union's infrastructure so fintech platforms can move funds via USDPT and tap into Western Union's global payout network.

Electronic trading firm Tradeweb has led a $31 million Series B round in institutional crypto platform Crossover Markets, giving the CROSSx operator a $200 million valuation. The deal includes a strategic partnership to connect Tradeweb's global institutional network to spot crypto liquidity on CROSSx and will fund the expansion of the ECN, which has handled over $50 billion in volume since 2023. Additional venture funding has recently gone to infrastructure firms Talos, Mesh, Rain and VelaFi as investors target trading, payments and settlement services for digital assets.
