Perp DEX market share jumps to 11.7% as Delphi Digital projects structural edge over TradFi by 2026
Perpetual decentralized exchanges are expanding rapidly, with CoinGecko data showing their share of derivatives revenue increasing from 2.1% in January 2023 to 11.7% in November 2025. Delphi Digital's 2026 outlook argues that these onchain venues are structurally more efficient than fragmented and costly TradFi infrastructure, while Cantor Fitzgerald models a long-term price path for Hyperliquid's HYPE token based on a 15% compound annual growth rate and planned buybacks. Perp DEX trading volume also tripled in 2025 to $12.09 trillion, though it remains small beside the $846 trillion notional value of outstanding OTC derivatives reported in June 2025.

Bootstrap details Zcash governance rift over nonprofit limits and plans for Zashi wallet
Bootstrap, the nonprofit supporting Zcash, attributed a recent governance conflict and board departures to legal constraints on raising external capital under its 501(c)(3) structure, after Electric Coin Company chose to spin out into a separate firm. The dispute focused on potential outside investment and privatization options for the Zashi self‑custodial wallet, while ZEC’s price dropped about 16% over 24 hours as large holders and new wallets accumulated millions of dollars’ worth of tokens.

Analysts say 2025 crypto bear market reset valuations as institutions enter altcoin ETFs
Analysts reported that in 2025, DeFi tokens dropped 67% and smart contract-linked cryptocurrencies averaged a 66% loss, marking a broad bear phase outside Bitcoin. They argue this downturn reflected a repricing toward networks with strong usage and revenue, just as institutional investors began rolling out regulated Bitcoin, Ether and Solana ETF products that could shape market dynamics into 2026.
