The native token, EDGEN, powers the ecosystem by being used for staking, transaction fees, node incentives, and governance. The LayerEdge protocol can be integrated into any zk-rollup or modular chain architecture to outsource verification in a trustless, cost-efficient, and Bitcoin-secured way.

When Was LayerEdge Launched?

In May 2024, LayerEdge raised its initial capital from investors like Paul Taylor, Blockchain Founders Fund, Founderheads, BreakOrbit, Normie Capital, and Saushank. 2. Incentives for Node Operators: Node operators, both light nodes via edgenOS and full aggregator nodes, stake EDGEN to earn rewards for validating, aggregating, and anchoring proofs.
