Nordea, the Nordic region's largest bank, will offer customers access to a Bitcoin-linked exchange-traded product starting December 2025. The move marks a significant shift for the institution, which banned employees from holding Bitcoin in 2018 and previously avoided digital assets due to regulatory concerns. The product, developed with CoinShares, will track Bitcoin's price without requiring direct cryptocurrency ownership.

Bitcoin spot trading volume surpassed $300 billion in October 2025, the second-highest monthly total this year. The shift came after $19 billion in leveraged position liquidations earlier in the month prompted traders to move from derivatives to direct ownership.

American Bitcoin Corp., backed by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., purchased 1,414 BTC valued at $163 million this week, bringing total holdings to 3,865 BTC worth approximately $446 million. Strategy added 390 BTC for $43.4 million at an average price of $111,053, increasing its portfolio to 640,808 BTC valued at roughly $71 billion.
