Accenture jumps 22% on Q4 beat, lifting Cognizant, IBM and other IT stocks
Accenture reported fiscal fourth-quarter revenue of $18.7 billion, up 6% year on year, beating estimates of $18.04 billion, and issued an upbeat fiscal 2027 outlook that sent its shares up about 22%. Anthropic said in its IPO prospectus that it posted a $42 billion net loss in 2025, including about $34 billion tied to accounting charges related to convertible financing. Revenue rose 12-fold to nearly $4.6 billion, while operating losses excluding liability writedowns widened to $8.06 billion. The company said it plans to invest as much as $518 billion in cloud computing and infrastructure over the coming years and is targeting an IPO valuation of more than $2 trillion.

Oil and Treasury yields climb as Nasdaq falls 1.2% and Dow drops more than 350 points

Russia Ships in Indian Gasoline After Ukrainian Attacks, With 60,000 Tonnes Already Dispatched
Russia has started importing at least 60,000 metric tonnes of gasoline from India by sea after Ukrainian drone attacks on refineries tightened domestic supply, and it plans monthly imports of around 400,000 tonnes. Aluminum slides to lowest since Feb. 19 as stronger dollar weighs on metals
Aluminum fell to its lowest level since Feb. 19, with London Metal Exchange prices touching $3,060 a ton. Copper dropped 0.9% to $13,254, while silver also came under pressure as the dollar strengthened. The dollar index has risen 2.5% over the past two months on a more hawkish Federal Reserve stance. Easing Middle East tensions and a shift by some Chinese investors from commodities into equities added to the downside pressure on industrial metals.
