Amazon said it has paused operations with cargo carrier 21 Air after a Boeing 767 freighter operated for Amazon Air overran a runway while landing at Miami International Airport earlier this month, hitting multiple vehicles and causing deaths. The company said it is supporting the investigation and reviewing the circumstances. The flight involved was operated by 21 Air for Amazon Air.

The U.S. average price of diesel has climbed to a record $6.20 per gallon, up sharply from $3.69 in January 2025. The rise has been driven by the war between the United States and Iran, which has disrupted oil shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and stoked fears of supply interruptions. Because diesel is a key industrial fuel, the surge could lift supply-chain costs and become a political flashpoint ahead of the midterm elections.

The U.S. General Services Administration has reached an agreement with OpenAI that gives the federal government a 50% discount on access to the company’s most advanced AI models, with no minimum spending requirement. The arrangement is being executed through GSA’s OneGov procurement strategy to speed AI adoption across federal agencies. Other government entities—including state, local and tribal governments—will also be able to use the same models at the same discount, according to a deal document obtained by Fox News Digital.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned Ford Motor Co. that its growing reliance on Chinese technology and manufacturing partnerships poses national security risks and threatens U.S. jobs. In a letter to CEO Jim Farley, Duffy cited Ford’s continued use of CATL-licensed battery technology in Michigan, a joint venture with Geely in Spain, reported talks with BYD on hybrid components, and delayed plans to bring Lincoln models back to U.S. production that he said could extend until 2030. Ford shares fell 4.1%.

Campbell’s said it is cutting 13% of its salaried workforce and closing two snack plants as it seeks to improve operations and return to profitability. Southwest Airlines said it will roll out its first airport lounge network, with four lounges scheduled to open in Austin, Baltimore, Honolulu and Nashville by late 2027. Uber said it will cut roughly 3,300 jobs, about 10% of its workforce, as it moves to streamline operations.
