Franklin Templeton plans to issue two ETFs on Ethereum—one tracking the S&P 500 and another tied to short-term U.S. Treasuries—so shares can be bought, sold, and held via self-custody crypto wallets on a 24/7 basis. The firm said the products will support a hybrid create/redeem process using either fiat currency or stablecoins, and are expected to launch in the coming weeks pending regulatory clearance.

Circle Internet Group's CRCL shares fell nearly 19% on March 24 as investors weighed concerns that proposed rules could restrict stablecoin yield and rewards. The stock moved from an intraday high near $127 to about $102 after rallying earlier in March from below $60 to above $130.

Resolv paused its protocol after a private key compromise let an attacker mint about $80M in uncollateralized USR, sparking a sharp depeg. The team said roughly 9M USR linked to the attacker has been burned, and the only confirmed loss so far is about $0.5M from redemptions processed before the pause. USR later traded near $0.19, down over 56% in 24 hours, while Resolv reported holding around $141M in assets as it prepares a redemption plan for pre-incident holders.

Grayscale filed a Form S-1 with the U.S. SEC on 20 March to register a proposed HYPE ETF linked to Hyperliquid's native asset. HYPE traded around $39–$40 after climbing from below $30 in early March, while crypto ETF flow data showed +$146m last week, +$2.29bn last month, -$1.62bn last quarter, and -$225.8m on 19 March. Approval is not assured and remains subject to SEC review.

BONK.fun says it has brought its site back online after a domain hijack tied to a breach at a third-party provider, with user losses now estimated at about $30,000. The team said on 20 March the attackers used social engineering against the domain service provider, leading to an unauthorized registrar transfer. BONK.fun added it will reimburse impacted users at 110% of losses, while BONK traded near $0.0000059 at the time of writing.

The U.S. CFTC has issued guidance detailing when futures commission merchants and clearinghouses may accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, and payment stablecoins as margin collateral in derivatives accounts. The framework permits use in futures, foreign futures, and cleared swaps (and allows clearinghouses to take crypto for initial margin), but keeps a ban on using crypto margin for uncleared swaps. Firms must notify the CFTC, follow enhanced reporting for the first 3 months, and apply haircuts such as a typical ~2% capital charge for payment stablecoins.

Fabric Protocol's ROBO airdrop drew scrutiny after on-chain analysis suggested one entity coordinated more than 7,000 wallets to claim about 199 million ROBO tokens, or 40% of the distribution. The allocation was estimated at roughly $8m at launch, and the token debuted on 27 February. ROBO traded near $0.025 at press time and was up about 14% since launch, though its post-launch path has been volatile.
