Addresses Holding Over 1,000 BTC Rise 2.2% to Four-Month High Since Oct. 27

The number of addresses holding more than 1,000 BTC rose 2.2% from a yearly low of 1,354 on Oct. 27 to 1,384 as of Monday, marking a four-month high, Glassnode data show. The accumulation began in late October when BTC traded at $114,000. Wallets holding at least 1 BTC declined from 980,577 on Oct. 27 to a yearly low of 977,420 by Nov. 17, according to Glassnode. Markus Thielen, founder of 10X Research, said selling pressure persists among some large holders, noting the Fed's Oct. 29 FOMC meeting disrupted the balance between mega-whales (1,000-10,000 BTC) selling and whales (100-1,000 BTC) buying, with 30-day net flow data showing sellers remain dominant despite absorption by mega-whales.
