Whale Address 0x7b7b Liquidated for $96.51M on Hyperliquid as BTC Surged to $96.1K

A whale address 0x7b7b holding over $120 million in BTC short positions on Hyperliquid was liquidated for approximately $96.51 million yesterday at 22:00 as Bitcoin rallied 2% to $96,100 within five minutes, HyperInsight and Coinglass data show. The address, with an average entry price of $95,270, faced multiple liquidations when the price hit its liquidation level near $96,000, marking the largest single liquidation across all exchanges. The whale also saw its XRP and ZEC short positions liquidated, bringing total losses to roughly $2.97 million and reducing account value from a daily peak of $6.57 million to $1.47 million before funds were fully withdrawn. Within the past nine hours, the address deposited approximately $1.7 million back into Hyperliquid and opened a new 10x leveraged ZEC short position at an average price of $666 with a liquidation price of $683, currently showing an unrealized profit of $1.4 million (74%).
