CoinEx to Wind Down Operations After Nearly Nine Years
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
CoinEx's planned wind-down highlights continued pressure on centralized exchanges from weak crypto trading volumes, reduced liquidity, and rising regulatory compliance costs. The phased suspension of futures, staking, lending, spot trading, and eventual withdrawals could force users to migrate assets and activity to other venues, potentially creating short-term dislocations in liquidity and spreads across spot and derivatives markets, while reinforcing broader risk-off sentiment.

CoinEx said it will cease operations and begin an orderly shutdown, citing a prolonged crypto market downturn, shrinking industry-wide trading volume and liquidity, and rising regulatory demands and compliance costs across major jurisdictions.
The exchange will stop accepting new user registrations on Sept. 15 and switch futures trading to close-only mode. All non-spot services—including futures, wealth management, staking and lending—will be discontinued on Sept. 22. Spot trading will end on Sept. 29. Withdrawals will be suspended and the platform will formally shut down on Dec. 22.
CoinEx launched on Dec. 22, 2017, and has been in operation for nearly nine years.
