ME News reported that on July 27 (UTC+8), the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) refreshed its MiCA registration list last Friday, adding 15 CryptoAsset Service Providers (CASPs). The provisional register now includes 309 CASPs.
Among the new entries are four banking institutions, including BNY SA/NV, the Belgian subsidiary of U.S. banking group BNY Mellon, along with three German banks. Digital asset platforms added include BitPay, Coinify, and Bleap.
By country, Germany and Denmark each recorded three new CASPs. Bulgaria and Latvia added two apiece, while Belgium, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, and the Netherlands each added one.
ESMA has now made two updates following the July 1 transition-period deadline. The second update added 14 CASPs, including major industry names such as Ripple Payments Europe.
ESMA said the latest update does not affect other MiCA-related registers, including those for AssetReferenced Tokens (ARTs) or Electronic Money Tokens (EMTs). (Source: Foresight News)
