Bitfinex Alpha: Ethereum ETF Inflows Top Bitcoin as Traders Tap ETF Holdings as Collateral for CME Yield Trades
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
ETH spot ETFs are drawing comparatively stronger demand, with September net inflows ($324.4m) outpacing BTC ETFs amid BTC ETF net outflows ($462.7m last week). Bitfinex Alpha attributes ETH ETF buying to collateral use in CME futures yield strategies, implying structurally driven flows rather than purely directional positioning. Near term, this supports relative ETH strength while highlighting potential flow-driven volatility in both ETF complexes.

Bitfinex Alpha reports that traders have been accumulating spot Ethereum ETF positions to pledge as collateral for CME futures strategies designed to earn yield, a dynamic that may be driving comparatively stronger demand for ETH-linked products.
Spot Ethereum ETFs took in $196.9 million in net inflows last week and have attracted $324.4 million so far in September. Over the same month-to-date period, Bitcoin ETFs have drawn $307.3 million, despite holding roughly six times the assets of Ethereum ETFs.
Bitcoin ETFs swung to net selling last week, posting $462.7 million in net outflows over four trading days, marking a reversal from their recent role as a key channel for institutional demand.
Bitfinex expects ETH to defend the Sept. 11 daily low of $2,432 as support on pullbacks.
