FTX Starts Fifth Creditor Payout Round as Funds Hit Accounts

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
FTX's fifth creditor distribution is underway, with roughly $900m being paid out and total repayments since the 2022 bankruptcy approaching ~$10bn. The release of funds can alter near-term crypto market liquidity as recipients may rebalance into or out of digital assets, while also reducing residual bankruptcy uncertainty. Impact is broad-based rather than tied to a single token, but may influence overall crypto risk appetite.

FTX creditor representative Sunil said on July 31 (UTC+8) that distribution funds have been credited to creditor accounts, marking the start of FTX's fifth repayment round. Earlier reports said the FTX Recovery Trust planned to begin payouts on July 31, distributing about $900 million under the recovery plan to creditors in the "Convenience" and "NonConvenience" classes. Once this tranche is included, total repayments by the FTX Recovery Trust since FTX filed for bankruptcy in November 2022 are expected to reach roughly $10 billion. (Source: BlockBeats)
