Name.com domain hijacking hits 15 customers, 10 linked to Vercel

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
The Name.com domain hijack and wallet-draining campaign linked to Vercel highlight persistent operational-security risks across DeFi. With 15 domains affected and roughly $138,000 traced, the direct market impact appears limited, but such incidents can erode confidence and increase scrutiny of crypto infrastructure. Broader market reaction is likely muted unless similar attacks expand.

Name.com has confirmed that 15 customer domains were compromised in a hijacking incident, up from the 12 previously confirmed, and that all have been restored. Ten of the affected domains are linked to Vercel, the platform said. Gold Finance reported on Nov. 1 that Name.com told The Block about the updated total. The attackers had compromised more than ten DeFi websites, including Flap, Kintsu, Pickle Finance and Origami Finance, using the sites to drain visitors' crypto wallets. Registration records obtained by The Block show all 12 domains identified earlier were registered through Name.com, and 10 were suspended at the registrar level by Saturday morning. The Block traced about $138,000 in stolen funds to three wallets on EVM chains, excluding losses on Solana or Aptos chains.
