Great Eastern Shipping Q1 net profit more than doubles to ₹1,309 crore; declares ₹14.40 interim dividend

The Great Eastern Shipping Company reported a Q1 FY2024 net profit of ₹1,309 crore, more than doubling from a year earlier. Operating revenue rose 66.9% year on year to ₹2,005.4 crore, while the EBITDA margin widened to 66.7% from 53.5%. The company declared an interim dividend of ₹14.40 per share. Ahead of the results, the stock rose 3.97% to ₹1,404 on the NSE.
