On Sept. 28, SWIFT CEO Javier PérezTasso said the future of finance should blend traditional finance and decentralized finance, enabling global movement of both fiat and tokenized value. On Sept. 29, Ripple said Brazil’s central securities depository, CSD BR, is using the public XRP Ledger to record live Brazilian securities data, including BTG Pactual fund shares, within regulated market infrastructure. SWIFT has also told more than 11,500 financial institutions that blockchain, tokenized deposits, 24/7 payments and interoperability are becoming part of mainstream finance.
