Reliance Industries says it will turn all refined oil into chemicals and new materials, targets 2,00,000 green jobs

Reliance Industries said it will shift all of its in-house crude refining output toward making chemicals and new materials, accelerating a move from traditional refining to higher-value OiltoChemicals & Materials. The strategy includes large-scale green infrastructure investment and aims to create 2,00,000 green jobs through the Giga Complex and the Kutch Solar Farm. The plan does not change the current crude supply-demand balance but signals a fundamental shift in how India’s largest refiner intends to use crude oil as end demand moves toward chemical feedstock, which could provide structural support to oil prices.
