Ethereum Foundation issues mandate defining its stewardship role and enshrining CROPS principles

On Friday, the Ethereum Foundation released a mandate that formalizes its mission and the CROPS principles of censorship resistance, open source, privacy and security. The document frames the foundation as one steward among many in the Ethereum ecosystem and clarifies its focus on protocol research, security and other work without a natural home elsewhere.
