Russia's Constitutional Court is reviewing whether citizens hold property rights over stablecoins such as USDT, DLNews reports. Moscow resident Dmitry Timchenko lent 1,000 USDT in 2023 but faced refusal of repayment, with appeals to district, higher, and supreme courts all rejected on grounds that stablecoins fall outside the protected Digital Financial Assets category.
