U.S.-India trade talks reach the G7 with a 12.5% tariff threat over negotiations

A 12.5% tariff threat is overshadowing U.S.-India trade negotiations as Donald Trump plans to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the G7 summit in France. The summit runs June 15 to June 17 in Evian-les-Bains, and U.S. officials do not expect any agreement to be signed there. Talks are set to continue afterward, including another negotiating session in India led by U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer.
