BlackRock Launches iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF ETHB with Coinbase Prime Custody on March 12
BlackRock launched the iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (Nasdaq: ETHB) on March 12, its first crypto ETF to incorporate staking and third spot crypto ETF, with the fund staking a portion of its ether holdings through Coinbase Prime custody. The launch follows the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's acknowledgment of BlackRock's staking-enabled Ethereum ETF filings and earlier debuts of rival staked ETH products from REXOsprey and Grayscale, The Defiant reports. BlackRock remains the largest crypto ETF issuer by net assets, with its spot Ethereum ETF ETHA holding just under $6.6 billion as of March 11 out of a $11.85 billion U.S. Ethereum ETF market and its spot Bitcoin ETF IBIT overseeing more than $55 billion compared with $90.89 billion across all U.S. spot BTC ETFs, SoSoValue data show. Ethereum ETFs saw net inflows totaling over $57 million over the past two trading days as of March 11, as spot ETH trades just above $2,060 and staked ETH on the network reaches more than 37.6 million ETH, The Defiant data show.
