Ethereum Fusaka Upgrade Activates on Mainnet, Raises Block Gas Limit to 60 Million

Ethereum's Fusaka upgrade went live on the mainnet at Epoch 411392 on Dec. 4 at 5:49:11 Beijing time, official sources said. The upgrade implements changes across consensus and execution layers, raising the block gas limit to 60 million and introducing BPO forks to facilitate future blob parameter adjustments. The modifications aim to enhance Ethereum's capacity to process high-volume Layer 2 transactions, with anticipated L2 fee reductions of 40% to 60%.
