Ripple boosts institutional services as XRP Ledger adds DeFi, AI and futures integrations in 2026

According to Token Relations' latest monthly overview, Ripple is extending its institutional strategy while new features roll out on the XRP Ledger. The report highlights partnerships with Securosys, Figment and Aviva Investors, an expanded Ripple Payments offering across more than 60 markets, and the debut of Ripple Prime support for Coinbase futures cleared by Nodal Clear. It also notes an updated institutional DeFi roadmap for XRPL and the launch of the x402 protocol facilitator enabling AI agents to pay for API services with XRP and RLUSD.
