Base said Coinbase-issued tokenized stocks are now available on the Base network under the B20 standard. Each token is backed 1:1 by corresponding shares held with regulated custodians, giving eligible users the ability to hold tokenized equities such as Apple and NVIDIA in self-custody wallets and deploy them across Base's DeFi ecosystem. The program is supported by Alpaca, a regulated broker-dealer and custodian, enabling onchain trading, lending, and other financial use cases.
