Chainlink unveils "Chainlink Reserve" to channel network revenue into LINK holdings
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Chainlink's launch of an onchain Chainlink Reserve introduces a structured mechanism to convert diverse service revenues into LINK via Payment Abstraction and accumulate it in an Ethereum-deployed reserve. With reported growth to ~5.48M LINK (~$63.6M), the design links adoption and revenue more directly to token demand and supply dynamics, potentially improving investor confidence in LINK's long-term sustainability narrative.

Chainlink said on Aug. 7, 2025 it has launched Chainlink Reserve, an onchain strategic reserve aimed at supporting the network's long-term growth and sustainability. The initiative is designed to create a path for revenue generated across Chainlink's business to ultimately be converted into LINK (ethereum:0x514910771af9ca656af840dff83e8264ecf986ca) and accumulated on Ethereum.
According to Chainlink, the process starts with revenue generated from both onchain service usage and offchain enterprise adoption. The company noted that large institutions and enterprises can pay for access to Chainlink's infrastructure without necessarily paying directly in LINK.
Chainlink's Payment Abstraction system then converts those payments into LINK. Users can pay for Chainlink services using various assets, including stablecoins and other payment forms, which are programmatically swapped into LINK via decentralized exchange infrastructure.
The converted LINK is transferred into the Chainlink Reserve, an onchain smart contract deployed on Ethereum, linking expanding business activity to a growing onchain balance of the network's native token.
Chainlink said it does not expect withdrawals from the Reserve for multiple years, positioning the reserve to build over time as services generate more revenue and adoption increases.
Chainlink disclosed that the Reserve initially accumulated more than $1 million worth of LINK. As of Aug. 15, the company reported the Reserve had risen to about 5.48 million LINK, valued at roughly $63.6 million.
Chainlink framed the Reserve as an onchain economic mechanism intended to align network usage with LINK accumulation: more usage can drive more revenue, that revenue can be converted into LINK (ethereum:0x514910771af9ca656af840dff83e8264ecf986ca), and the resulting LINK can continue to accrue in the Reserve.
