Coldcard Hack Fuels Biggest Spike in Sub-1 BTC Transfers Since FTX

Sub-1 BTC Bitcoin transfers have jumped to their highest level since the FTX collapse, CryptoQuant reported. Researchers attributed the surge to a suspected ongoing hack targeting Coldcard wallets. On July 31, roughly 39,600 BTC was moved through small-sized transactions following the breach, a level just shy of the peak recorded in November 2022. Galaxy Research estimates about 1,367 BTC has been stolen across 4,585 addresses. Users are being urged to immediately move funds out of any potentially affected Coldcard wallets.
