Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said he will ask the Speaker of the Sejm to schedule a new vote on the Markets in CryptoAssets Act after President Karol Nawrocki vetoed the legislation for a third time on June 11.
Tusk said the Zondacrypto bankruptcy has grown into one of Poland's largest cryptocurrency corruption scandals, with customer losses reaching as much as $94 million. He alleged the ruling party took cash and other benefits.
Repeated presidential vetoes have stalled Poland's rollout of key requirements tied to the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), leaving domestic crypto exchanges unable to complete registration.
