Russia will impose a ban on cryptocurrency mining in Moscow, Moscow Oblast, and parts of Kursk Oblast starting Aug. 15, with the restrictions set to remain in place through Dec. 31, 2032, according to Odaily Planet Daily. The measure covers eight municipal districts in Kursk Oblast as well as the city of Lgov, and applies to residents engaged in mining pools and related activities. The decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and has been officially published.
