Kazakhstan to Launch $500M-$1B National Crypto Reserve Fund
Kazakhstan is establishing a national cryptocurrency reserve fund valued at $500 million to $1 billion, with partial funding from seized assets repatriated from overseas, Bloomberg reports. Central bank governor Timur Suleimenov said the fund will invest in ETFs and equity stakes in digital currency companies, exercising caution on direct cryptocurrency holdings. The fund is expected to become operational by year-end or January.
