Arweave has rejected claims that its network stopped producing blocks for over 24 hours after some explorers, notably ViewBlock, appeared to freeze at block #1,851,686 on February 6 2026. A team member said the issue stemmed from the explorer reading a local cache instead of the live block height, while Arscan showed uninterrupted block production up to February 7. Over the past year, Arweave processed more than two billion messages and rolled out performance upgrades, even as its AR token fell 6.51% on the day and 18% on the week amid broader market volatility.
