Over 40,000 Profitable Bitcoin Moved to Exchanges as BTC Briefly Tops $97,000

More than 40,000 Bitcoin in profit were transferred to centralized exchanges on Jan. 15 as BTC briefly climbed above $97,000, on-chain data show. Analyst Darkfost said short-term holders appear inclined to lock in gains during the rebound, still affected by the recent correction. These holders may require a larger price increase and stronger confirmation to rebuild confidence and accumulate sufficient unrealized profits that would incentivize holding rather than selling, Darkfost added.
