Aave and Partners Ask Arbitrum DAO to Unfreeze ETH to Support rsETH Recovery

Aave said it and its service providers, alongside EtherFi, KelpDAO, LayerZero, Compound and other protocols, have filed a governance proposal with the Arbitrum DAO seeking the release of ETH frozen by the Arbitrum Security Council after the April 18 rsETH incident. If approved, the ETH would be routed to DeFi United, a cross-protocol recovery initiative, to rebuild rsETH reserve backing and compensate affected users. Separately, the Aave DAO has proposed committing 25,000 ETH to join the recovery effort, aiming to stabilize market conditions quickly. The proposals are currently open for community discussion and voting.
