CleanSpark Wins 100 MW Wyoming Data Center Site Over Microsoft, Enters AI Infrastructure

CleanSpark secured a 100-megawatt data center contract in Cheyenne, Wyoming, beating Microsoft in the competitive bidding process. CEO Matt Schultz credited the win to deployment speed, noting the firm built a 100 MW mining facility in six months compared to the three to six years typically required for AI data centers. The Las Vegas-based bitcoin miner now operates 1.03 gigawatts of active capacity and plans to expand AI-focused facilities across North America through a partnership with Submer.
