Opening and Closing Hours

Unlike crypto, which trades 24/7, TradFi Perp Futures follow the trading hours of the market for the underlying asset, including global forex sessions, U.S. stock trading hours, and commodity exchange opening hours. Understanding these time rules helps you plan trading and risk management more effectively.
 

How to Check Trading Hours

For exact trading hours, refer to the current asset. You can click "Info" → "Trade Time" on the futures page to view the asset's latest opening and closing times.
If special holidays occur, the platform will adjust open and close hours as needed. Refer to announcements on BingX Official Channels for the latest updates.

Trading Rules During Market Closures

2. Margin adjustment before market close
Five minutes before market close, the maintenance margin rate increases by 2.5% (for example, from 1% to 1.025%). If your margin buffer is thin, this may raise liquidation risk.
Recommendation:For positions held overnight or through market closures, keep an extra margin buffer to avoid liquidation triggered by margin rate adjustments.
3. Opening volatility limits
To limit extreme volatility at market open, BingX temporarily restricts TP executions to a 20x profit multiple during the first minute of trading. Normal trading conditions resume automatically afterward.
 

Important Risk Notice

1. Funding fee settlement continues as usual
Even during market closure, if you hold a position through a funding fee settlement time (every 4-8 hours), you will still need to pay or receive funding fees. We recommend assessing your positions' cumulative funding fee cost before market closure.
2. Gap risk at market open
When trading resumes for a TradFi underlying asset after market closure, its price may gap due to overnight news (such as economic data releases or geopolitical events). This means:
  • A SL order may be executed at the post-gap price, and actual losses may exceed the preset SL level.
  • Slippage may increase during periods of high market volatility.
Suggestions:
  • Reduce position size or leverage before market close where appropriate
  • Avoid holding high-leverage positions before major data releases
  • Keep sufficient margin buffer
