Philippine Central Bank Bans VASPs From Listing Privacy-Enhancing Crypto Assets

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has explicitly barred virtual asset service providers (VASPs) from listing or supporting anonymity- or privacy-enhancing virtual assets, according to The Philippine Star. The central bank also instructed VASPs to tighten their token listing, monitoring and delisting standards, including conducting due diligence on listed assets and setting delisting triggers for tokens that no longer meet listing requirements.
