NYSE selects Securitize as digital transfer agent as tokenized stocks near $1B

The New York Stock Exchange has chosen Securitize to serve as the first digital transfer agent for its planned tokenized securities platform, positioning the firm to help issue and manage on-chain versions of stocks and ETFs. The initiative sits within Intercontinental Exchange’s broader work on a Digital Trading Platform and includes building operational and regulatory standards for issuance, tracking, and transfers. Separate data show tokenized stocks nearing $1 billion in total value, with monthly transfer volume at $2.5 billion.
