Amazon and Intel shares fell sharply after their post-market earnings. The declines dragged Nasdaq futures down by more than another 500 points. The Nasdaq had already closed 1.4% lower on Thursday.

ESAF Small Finance Bank shares hit a 5% upper circuit after reporting a net profit of 160 crore and significantly improved asset quality in Q2 FY27.

Revenue rose 38.2% to ₹1,853 crore. EBITDA margin expanded to 9%. The stock touched ₹292.95 intraday.

GMR Airports reported an 11.6% rise in revenue to ₹4,095.4 crore for the quarter. Passenger traffic across its airports edged up 0.6% year on year.

COMEX gold futures were quoted at $4,073.70 per ounce, up 0.55%. Silver rose 0.99% to $54.195.

For the ongoing second quarter, Microsoft expects revenue to be between $96 billion and $97.1 billion, which implies a growth of 18.8% compared to last year. Analysts had projected the figure to be $95.6 billion.

Microsoft rose 2.5% after its earnings, partly offsetting the impact. The Fed held rates unchanged, with two dissenting votes.

Inflation remains above the Federal Reserve's 2% target. The economy, meanwhile, is running strong. Officials said they need to assess more data before deciding whether to raise rates.

Net interest income (NII) increased 23.5% to 4,174 hundred million rupees. Assets under management (AUM) rose 25% year on year to 26.8 trillion rupees.
