Aave USDT Borrowing APY Jumps to 14.99%
BlockBeats reported that on April 19, Aave data showed USDT borrowing APY climbed to 14.99%, while the deposit APY surged to 13.39%. A hacker linked to KelpDAO allegedly borrowed a large amount of ETH from Aave using illegally minted rsETH as collateral. Risk concerns triggered urgent withdrawals totaling more than $5.4 billion from the platform. The sharp liquidity outflow is seen as a key driver behind the spike in USDT lending and borrowing rates on Aave.
