Kazakhstan Central Bank to Allocate $350M to Bitcoin, Ethereum and Crypto-Linked Assets

The National Bank of Kazakhstan plans to invest about $350 million in Bitcoin, Ethereum and other crypto-related financial instruments from its $69 billion gold and foreign exchange reserves, central bank governor Timur Suleimanov said. The strategy extends beyond direct token purchases to include infrastructure firms, blockchain technology companies, crypto service providers and index-style products tied to digital assets. Deputy governor Aliya Moldabekova said the central bank expects to begin implementing the investment plan around April or May after selecting suitable companies and instruments.
