Anthropic challenges Trump administration over Pentagon "supply chain risk" designation in US courts

Anthropic, developer of the Claude AI system, has sued the Trump administration and multiple US agencies after the Pentagon formally labeled the firm a military "supply chain risk" on March 3. The company is asking federal courts in California and Washington, D.C., to overturn both the Defense Department's designation and an order directing federal employees to stop using Claude, calling the government actions "unprecedented and unlawful."
