Trump's CFTC chair Mike Selig said on Jan. 21 he will pursue a "future-proof" rulemaking plan for crypto, according to posts on X and The Washington Post. The CFTC will end "regulation by enforcement" and adopt tailored rules, Selig said. The agency also formed an Innovation Advisory Committee and hired lawyer Michael Passalacqua.
