Operator XR, a subsidiary of xReality Group (ASX: XRG), has signed a memorandum of understanding with Thales Australia to jointly pursue training and simulation work across defence, security and law enforcement markets. The arrangement is reciprocal, allowing either company to lead opportunities, with Operator XR supporting Thales-led projects as a subcontractor or bringing Thales in as a supplier or subcontractor on Operator XR-led bids. The companies did not disclose any contract values or timelines.

A study commissioned by Dell Technologies and NVIDIA and conducted by IDC shows Asia Pacific governments have elevated Sovereign AI to their second-highest investment priority. It found 46.1% are evaluating the technology and 36.1% are running initial proofs of concept. The survey also shows 99% of government leaders view agentic AI as an accelerator, but scaling is constrained by skills gaps, trust and infrastructure readiness.

Everpure, formerly Pure Storage, unveiled a new “Data Primacy” strategy at its Accelerate conference in Las Vegas, aiming to make data the core enterprise asset and bring applications and AI agents to it. The company says the approach relies on a semantic knowledge graph to logically unify data and reduce the need for physical migration. Everpure also introduced Data Stream, built on the NVIDIA AI Data Platform, and its Data Intelligence platform, positioning NVIDIA as a foundational stack partner while citing Oracle as an example of legacy data-silo approaches.
