On May 29, 2026, the CFTC approved KalshiEX's BTCPERP, a bitcoin-referenced perpetual futures contract designed to trade 24/7 and settle in cash to CF Benchmarks' Bitcoin Real Time Index (BRTI). The agency also described a case-by-case approach for perpetual listings and outlined conditions under which registered FCMs may access certain foreign perpetual markets via affiliates.
