Peter Schiff says Tether's USDT could overtake Ethereum and later Bitcoin by market cap

Peter Schiff argued on June 4, 2026 that Tether's USDT is positioned to surpass Ethereum's market cap and could eventually exceed Bitcoin's as well. USDT was near $188 billion in market value, leaving it less than $26 billion behind Ethereum, while Bitcoin recently slid toward the $61,500 area and briefly hit $61,460 after an hourly drop of more than $2,000.
