Ready Card, a self-custodial crypto card and wallet built on Starknet, issued an emergency notice that it will stop its USDC spending card service for users outside the European Economic Area (EEA) within one hour on 2026-06-17. The company cited a change in its card-issuing partner as the main reason. User accounts and all digital assets, including USDC, remain safe, with only in-store and online card payments interrupted. The product had been among a small number of on-chain offerings enabling real-time spending of native USDC, primarily serving non-EEA retail users.
