Evernorth’s XRPN targets Oct. 12 Nasdaq debut with 473 million XRP and about $300 million in cash

Crypto investment vehicle Evernorth (ticker: XRPN) plans to debut on Nasdaq on October 12 with holdings of 473 million XRP and about $300 million in cash. SBI has committed $200 million, with Ripple, Pantera, Kraken and GSR also participating, and roughly 94% of votes backing the plan. After listing, Evernorth says it will aim to increase XRP per share through a “hold, lend, build” strategy, including validators, liquidity and RLUSD on the ledger. In the same week, the XRP Ledger activated Permission Delegation and Batch, while native lending remains in a validator vote.

Rising Treasury yields push Bitcoin down nearly 5% in the week to Oct. 9

Bitcoin traded at $82,250 U.S. as of Oct. 10, down nearly 5% over the past week and down 1.50% so far in October after a 42% gain in the third quarter. The benchmark 10year U.S. Treasury yield rose to 5.25%, its highest level since April 2002. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs posted net outflows of $487.1 million U.S. for the week, the largest since June 25, and are down $165 million U.S. in October. Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee said the firm will stop accumulating ETH once its holdings reach 5% of the token’s circulating supply.
