CME Group said Tuesday it will list new futures contracts tied to Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap, citing client demand for institutional-grade risk management tools in high-liquidity altcoin markets.
The Bitcoin Cash contract will represent 250 BCH, alongside a Micro Bitcoin Cash contract sized at 25 BCH. Uniswap futures will be based on 10,000 UNI, with a Micro Uniswap contract covering 1,000 UNI.
Giovanni Vicioso, CME Group's Global Head of Cryptocurrency Products, said the expanding toolkit reflects a maturing market and growing need for regulated instruments to manage shifting digital-asset price risk. Ripple Prime President Noel Kimmel said institutions require around-the-clock access to regulated derivatives, and that the additions build on CME's existing XRP and Bitcoin offerings.
CME's crypto lineup already includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche and Sui. In the first half of 2026, the complex averaged 279,800 contracts a day, representing $8.3 billion in notional value, while average open interest was 264,600 contracts, or $15.4 billion notional. Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche and Sui have contributed more than $1 billion in combined notional value year-to-date in 2026.
Bitcoin Cash rallied 21% and moved back above its 200-day exponential moving average at $308 for the first time since a breakdown in May. The advance also pushed through the $240–$260 resistance band that had limited gains since June, shifting that area into support. Technicians flagged resistance at Tuesday's high of $328.94, followed by $330–$340. Support was seen at $308, then $240–$260.
Uniswap gained 3% and broke above a descending wedge that had tightened price action since the 2024 highs. Its four exponential moving averages turned bullishly aligned for the first time in months. The RSI Divergence Indicator stood at 73.13, an overbought reading, while also showing a bullish divergence from the summer lows. Resistance was cited at the weekly high of $9.74, then near the wedge apex around $10–$11. Support was pegged at the 200-day exponential moving average of $7.83, followed by the 100-day exponential moving average at $6.01.
