ASX rises as Fed holds rates at 3.75%-4.00% despite elevated inflation

Australian shares opened higher, drawing support from gains on Wall Street. Gold recovered to about $4,050 an ounce. The Federal Reserve signalled it could raise interest rates further depending on how inflation develops.
