WEC Energy logs nearly 22% jump in Q2 profit, reaffirms 2026 EPS outlook

WEC Energy Group said second-quarter net income rose to US$299.2 million, up nearly 22% from a year earlier, helped by higher electricity sales to commercial and industrial customers. Operating revenue increased 2.6% to US$2.06 billion, slightly above expectations, while earnings were 91 cents per share. The utility reaffirmed its 2026 earnings forecast of US$5.51 to US$5.61 per share.
